Rain on the Colbert Report!

by staples

This is old news, mind you, but it’s still hilarious. These three videos tell the story of the “age-old” legacy between Rain and Stephen Colbert (The vids take a minute or so to load):

One fine day on the Colbert Report (during 2007):

Hot, Fried, Wet Balls: Comparing Indian and American Food

by staples

So my Indian friend sent me this video comparing Indian and American food via a conversation between an Indian and his American friend. It’s absolutely hilarious! The beginning is kinda random, but still funny.

Hi My Sweetheart Update

by staples

Episode 3 should be coming out soon, sorry for the delay T.T
Here’s how my recap writing process works:
1. I watch the whole episode (can take a day or so)
2. I write the recap by hand, referring to the video as necessary and marking where I want screen caps (can take a week)
3. I get all the screen caps (usually takes a day)
4. I type the recap, inserting pictures where necessary (a day) and. . .
POST!

I am currently at #3, the only problem is I’ve increased the number of screen caps I’m posting exponentially, so it’s taking a bit longer than expected. Plus, some parts a SO ADORABLE that I’m planning on embedding some videos as well.

Please just hang in there for a little while 🙂

Silence! I Keel You!

A couple funny things happened to me today!

Disclaimer: This video verges on the politically incorrect. I apologize if anyone finds this offensive, but please note that this video does not represent my views on anything in any way. Also, there are some PG-13 moments in there. For the purpose of the rest of this rant, you need only watch the first 2:00 or so.

Okay, so I’m sitting outside enjoying the sunshine on this beautiful May afternoon, when I see

Hi My Sweetheart Episode 2 Recap

by staples

As promised, Episode 2 with screen caps!

HSM2.7

Haha! This picture is great because it takes exactly what happened, but makes it sound completely wrong!

—————————————————————————

It begins where we left off, Bai Chu Jie telling Da Lung to leave or else she’ll do “that” to him. So Da Lung changes, and as he’s walks through the house (fully clothed), he notices something.

“If this is your house,” he asks, “Where’s your family?” (It’s obvious at this point that Bai Chu Jie is rich. Why else would she be from Taiwan and have a house here? Maybe Da Lung is assuming she moved. Then again, since he’s rich, he wouldn’t find it unusual to have multiple houses in multiple places. But still, why should her family be here? She’s from Taiwan.)

Myanmar Junta Members Go Civilian – NYTimes.com

Myanmar Junta Members Go Civilian – NYTimes.com.

In a break from the usual drama-related stuffs, I am going to rant (for about 350 words) about politics. Asian politics. Specifically, the troubled region called Burma/Myanmar. In a nutshell, I am extremely P.O.’d at the fact that a bunch of military leaders are “resigning.” Why does this make me upset? Why is the word resigning in quotes? Let’s start with a nice timeline of Burmese history:
